Watersprite: The Cambridge International Student Film Festival
How much does it cost to attend the festival?
Nothing! Nothing at all. Every event is free, although some are invite-only (such as our Awards Ceremony and Closing Gala) and most must be registered for in advance.
Can I attend if I’m not a student?
Yes indeed! Any event, that isn’t invite-only, is open to anyone and everyone, so come along! Given the popularity of our sessions though, we recommended you sign up in advance to avoid missing out.
One of the events I want to attend is sold out. Is there anything I can do?
Yes, although there are no guarantees! For any daytime event we will have a reserve list on which you can put your name 15 minutes before the session starts (covering any no-shows on the day). There are no hard and fast rules here, but usually there will be a few seats going so do come along if you haven’t managed to book a ticket in advance!
What time do I need to be at the venue for the event?
You should aim to be at the given venue 10-15 minutes in advance. If you haven’t arrived 5 minutes before the talk, your seat might be given away – we want to ensure a full house for our speakers who have often travelled a long way to attend. We cannot guarantee entry for latecomers, even if seats are still available.
